Description

Information security is a major concern for management and accountants, as well as business owners. Recent threats to PCI transactions, HIPAA violations, and state Security Breach Notification breaches have resulted in financial losses and a loss of integrity in the eyes of business customers. The course begins by clearly identifying the security risks your business faces as well as the legal and ethical issues associated with these security risks, many of which have arisen recently as a result of advances in technology. We will address approved methods to store confidential company and customer as well as the safest methods to execute electronic financial transactions. This course not only clearly identifies the security risks accountants face, it also provides solutions.
